Wool Cushion
In Guatemala, combining artisanal fabrics to create a wide variety of products is a deep-rooted practice among both artisans and merchants. Huipiles, cuts, patches, ribbons and canvases are hand-woven with ancestral techniques, each telling stories of tradition through an infinite number of figures, colors and patterns. These elements become the perfect raw material for creative artisans, who transform them into a variety of functional and decorative products, such as table runners, cushions, bags, placemats, and wall decorations, among others. This practice not only highlights the skill and creativity of Guatemalan artisans, but also celebrates the country's rich cultural heritage, carrying with it a piece of history and tradition in each product made.
